NPC Followers
NPCs on Miami-by-Night may not initiate player-kill actions, though they may respond ICly if attacked by the PCs in question. PCs with NPC partners/followers/gang members may have /one/ NPC per PC present while on the grid, and these NPCs must wait for PC-derived actions before acting themselves, allowing them to be ‘followers’ rather than active antagonists. ‘Support’ NPCs are to follow the directions of their PC’s indicated actions, not seek to perform actions on their own initiative.
Characters with large gangs/armies/support groups must restrict all but a single one of these NPCs to a single headquarters/stronghold location. ‘Location’ in this sense is limited to a single IC building/structure. Such locations must be previously noted by Staff as to how many of what stat-level NPCs are present at any given time.
All NPCs on the grid must be Staff-run. PCs may not pose for the actions of NPCs in their area, save for bartender-puppets and the like within IC businesses they own. If a particular setting is desired (for example: a deserted beach), then a Staffer must make the determination as to whether such is warranted in the circumstances and must oversee the scene.
