Obfuscate is a mental power, in which the image of the vampire in observer’s minds is altered or deleted, not true invisibility. This means that security cameras photographs will reveal them; motion detectors will not be fooled. Higher Auspex, Mind, or Clear Sighted pierce the illusions. Matching levels perform an opposed test.

ALL individuals who use Obfuscate (and therefore have the object) should havethe attribute &DESC_TRUE on them. Baggy clothes and big hats are recommended for the appearance challenged.

Impersonation requires that the vampire either see their subject, or recall their appearance (Intelligence + Alertness, diff 6, 3 successes) to have a sufficiently good mental image, then 5 successes (as per the book) on the Obfuscate roll itself.

Also, as is true in cases of speaking or violent action, passing through a metal detector (if they are carrying enough metal to trigger the device) will test the Obfuscation of a person traveling unseen. They will have to roll 3 successes on a Wits + Stealth roll (difficulty 6) to avoid becoming suddenly perceivable.
