Some locations on the Miami-by-Night grid have been Registered as ‘hangouts’. If characters are logged in and present in these locations, their presence is noted in the +hangouts listing by numbers of players present. This facilitates finding others with whom to RP, provided that they are in one of the Registered locations.

+hangouts:  A listing of those locations with players present.

+hangouts/all:  A complete listing of all Registered Hangouts.

If you want your location on the +hangouts list, +mail Andromeda. There is optional configuration you may do on your location to customize which rooms are polled by the code to count # of players.

For IC ‘locations’ with multiple rooms, the owner of the room can place two related attributes on the primary Registered location to allow all of the rooms within this area to function as a single ‘location’ on the +hangouts listing. These attributes are:

• HANGOUTNAME The name which will show on the +hangouts listing. (If none, the name of the primary location is used.)
• HANGOUTLIST A listing of dbrefs of all rooms in the location. (If none, only the primary location is used.)

To set these, the owner of the location must set these attributes in the following format:

&HANGOUTNAME <location>=<name> (45 char limit, auto-truncated in list)
&HANGOUTLIST <location>=<room1> <room2> <room…>
