Building Nexus

No building projects can go on the grid without being built in the nexus and inspected by Buildstaff.

Over the years, many players have questioned why everything, even a simple room, must be built in the Building Nexus and inspected prior to being linked on the grid. It has been called anal and cumbersome, but we do have our reasons.

  • In the event of a timestop or judged scene, such as a break in, it is imperative that the judge knows that the room has been looked over by staff at some point in its life and has all the necessary notes on it such as type and level of security.
  • To make sure that players keep their houses in line with their resource level.
  • To make sure that any hidden exits or special rooms are noted and coded properly, such as a vampire’s haven being light proof.
  • To make sure that all rooms on the grid function with the global code, such as day/night, hunt, weather, and sidestep.
  • To make sure that the room names are in line with the naming convention of the grid so that staff can easily tell who is in what area of the grid in case of an event that affects more than 1 grid room.
  • To make sure it is possible for the room to exist, as described and linked.

Staff reserves the right to retconn (cancel/erase) RP that occurs in unapproved rooms.
