The following chart is now being used for body armor. If you have armor that does not follow this chart, it will be reviewed and possibly modified to follow the chart. This does not apply to custom-developed armor, talismans, or power armor. The dexterity penalty column refers to the dice removed from the player’s pool when utilizing this type of armor.
NOTE: If you have a biker jacket, a leather duster, or similar clothing desced but it is just fashion (i.e., not usable as armor) then the dexterity penalties do not apply, but you do not get the armor benefit.
Armor Type | Rating | Dexterity Penalty |
---|---|---|
Tough Hide (animals, bygones, constructs, shapechanged mages with thick or armored skin) | 1-3 | 0 |
Cybernetic Armor (built into the wearer) | 1-4 | 0 |
Reinforced Clothing (thin mesh protection added) | 1-2 | 0 |
Enhanced Clothing (apparently normal clothing modified with Matter) | 1-5 | 0 |
Biker Jacket (or other thick, practical, heavy duty protection) | 1 | -1 |
Leather Duster | 2 | -2 |
Cosplay Mail (modern costume armor) | 2 | -1 |
Chainmail (battle-ready chain link armor) | 4 | -2 |
Steel Breastplate | 3 | -2 |
Full Plate | 5 | -2 |
