Intellectual Property
CHARACTERS: Your PCs are your “property” and will remain so. Dead/retired characters or active characters will not be used as NPCs without the player’s permission.
CODE: Personal code (code on a player or objects owned by a player not in the master room) remains the property of the player and will not be used by the mush without the player’s permission. Code that is given to the mush for global use remains the property of the author; however, the author is required to give Codestaff at least 7 days notice before requiring a piece of code be removed.
BUILDINGS: Buildings kept in the name of the PC remain the personal property of the player. If the player wishes to remove a public building from the grid, we request that staff be given enough time to come up with an IC reason that fits in with the current chronicle. Buildings chowned over to MasterBLDR are the property of the mush. Large, public buildings that have a builder character are considered permanent fixtures of the mush and are the property of the mush unless prior arrangements are made with the player running said builder.
NPCS: NPCs are Non-Player-Characters run by Staff for Staff-generated tinyplots and do not gain XP. They are the property of the mush, not the property of the people that play them.
